Our Vision is to connect all communities of this world with the Hindu, Sanatan and Indian culture.
Our vision is executed through our mission of teaching the community through the radio, podcasts, songs, music, videos, arts, literature, photos, technology, culturally and linguistically appropriate content and other charitable festivals and events.
The community consists of the Ethnic, Pacific, Migrant, Refugee, Children, Youth, Elderly, Disabled, Language Challenged, Single Moms among many others.
Some noteworthy initiatives include:
- Diwali.
- Protecting endangered Fiji Indian songs and music.
- Providing free food for poverty alleviation.
- Creating awareness about substance abuse, bullying and harassment.
- Matariki's connection to Indian culture.
- Commonalities between the Maori, Indian and Fijian language, culture and music.
- Effects of colonization on the Maori, Indian, Fiji Indian and Native Fijian population.
- Auckland Sugar Mill's abusive relationship with the Fiji Indian sugarcane workers during Girmit until the Independence of Fiji.
Manukau Indian FM plays Indian cultural songs especially endandgered Fiji Indian songs such as Kirtan, Bhajan, Ramayan, Mahabhaarat, Bhagwat Geeta, Vikram Betaal Stories, Wedding Songs, Patriotic Songs, Family Songs, Diwali Songs, Bollywood Cultural Songs, Ghazal, Fiji Indian Faag, Tambura Bhajan, Lokgeet, Girmit Songs, Bidesia, Aalhaa, Birha, Sohar, Taasaa, Nangaada, Tamil Kirtan, Tirkuttu, Shehnai, Dhaphlaa, Stories, Documentaries from Fiji, India and beyond.
Manukau Indian FM also has a community centre which is available upon request to use. This community centre hosts multiple cultural events and weddings throughout the year.
