Art - Rangoli, Henna

Praneil is also an avid artist practicing mainly in Rangoli, Drawings and some Henna Design. He is an individual who specializes in creating beautiful and intricate designs using colored powders, paint, chalk, rice and sand. Rangoli is a traditional Indian art form that has been passed down through generations and is commonly created during Diwali. Praneil was born in Fiji. He is of Indian descent. Having grown up with the art form as an integral part of his cultural heritage, he displays pride in this art form. He fondly remembers his childhood Diwali mornings busy engaged in constructing rangolis, as such, he has several years of experience in creating Rangoli designs, having won art competitions in Fiji. Praneil's unique style incorporates elements of modern materials with traditional designs like the diya and Sanskrit fonts making his work distinctive and recognizable. His work in down to earth exemplified by his work reaching younger generations and the wider community through domestic exhibitions. Praneil is passionate about his art which he is now teaching his children to preserve for the generations to come.
